Beginner Improv Classes

Adult Improv (6 Weeks)

A 6-week Wednesday night session for players 15+. Suitable for beginners or those looking to re-visit the basics of improvisation.

Using simple exercises, games, and group discussion, we’ll work our way through the fundamental skills of improv: being present, listening, being supportive, giving and taking focus, making clear and strong offers, and embracing your sense of play. These are the building blocks of the best improvised scenes. It will be so much fun.

Kids/Youth Improv (6 Weeks)

A 6-week session on Sunday afternoons for youth aged 8-14. Try improv in a fun and supportive environment!

We will lead the group in a series of fun activities focused on listening, team work, being supportive and being silly! Through exercises, games, mini-performances and group discussion, participants will work on confidence, empathy and being present in a fun and supportive environment.

Lenny was saying “yes and” to opportunities before he even discovered his passion for improv. Paul takes laughter pretty seriously. A Gemini-award winning actor, and a comedy producer, Paul has been goofing around professionally for nearly 20 years. When not living the dream creating the silly, he’s teaching others how.

From Our Clients and Students

Julianne and Lenny delivered a fun and engaging workshop at ICE BOX, bringing together a diverse and multi-generational group of citizen artists for an hour of play. The participants loved it and it was a joyful addition to our participatory community arts festival.
- Krista Dalby

Artistic Director, ICE BOX

Paul’s improv course has helped train our students to become better storytellers. Students have grown to be confident, outspoken individuals because of the lessons they are learning in Paul’s class. Paul’s innate talent and love of improv is apparent in his lessons; he comes to class armed with endless activities and games that help our students become bolder and more expressive people. We are so lucky to have his enthusiasm, dedication and talent here in the Broadcasting-Radio program at Loyalist College.
– Jennifer Yascheshyn

Broadcasting-Radio - Professor & Program Coordinator, Loyalist College

Paul Snepsts runs a hands on, hilarious ship. The work he did with my students around sketch comedy writing was engaging, informative and accessible. The work the students created blew me away. I was so impressed with Paul’s work, when I was planning a drama and dance conference for all of eastern Ontario, I approached Paul to empower teachers to teach sketch comedy in the classroom. I highly recommend getting Paul to work with your students in your classroom.
– Matthew Sheahan

Department Head of the Arts and Indigenous Studies, PECI

The Adventure Class had the privilege of taking improv and drama lessons with Lenny Epstein for many years. Lenny brought numerous drama techniques, activities and expertise to our students, in a lively way!
